Everyone is psychic, yes, everyone...even you.

What's the difference between a psychic and a medium?

Everyone is psychic, yes, everyone...even you.

The definition of psychic is:

1. relating to or denoting faculties or phenomena that are apparently inexplicable by natural laws, especially involving telepathy or clairvoyance. "psychic powers" 2. relating to the soul or mind.

Apparently inexplicable. Yes, it's information you just know. Nobody told you, you just know.

Remember when there was no caller ID and the phone would ring and you would just know who was calling? My best friend and I would very frequently be calling each other at the exact same time! So many times I'd pick up the phone and it hadn't even rung yet and she was already there saying "hellooooo?" in her sing-songy voice "are you there?"

How many times have you said, "I just know_____" or "I had a feeling that " or "I'm not sure why I feel this way but " or "I can just picture ", and then it happens! You were validated! That's psychic information.

Psychic information can be information regarding the past, present, or future.

A fun little psychic test is if someone pops into your mind, out of the blue, and there is no specific reason like you are looking through photos or special dates are coming up, text them or call them. Just say "Hi, I was thinking about you". I bet they would say something like "Oh my God! I was just thinking about you too!" or "I was just talking about you!"

Try it.

I tried to look up the definition of a medium or mediumship online, there is no real good dictionary explanation of this term. Mostly what I found was articles about it. So a medium that I'm referring to is probably still a bit controversial or unexplainable, I guess.

In the simplest of terms, the medium is in the middle. What a medium does is act as a liaison between souls, spirits, energies who do not have a physical body standing in front of us, and someone who is still alive. Although, I seem to be able to do this with living pets also, so I'm not sure what category that falls into....psychic or medium?

During a reading, we can "translate" or describe what were are seeing, hearing, feeling.

These are the clairsenses...clair means clear in french

clairvoyant = seeing

clairaudient = hearing

clairsentient = feeling

claircognizance = knowing

and there are others too. The clairs are most frequently experienced in our minds. I don't usually see with my eyes or hear with my ears (that only happened once to me.) I can feel certain things with my body and then I can just know things.

These are skills that can be learned, unlike psychic abilities, those come naturally during times when you just trust your intuition. Many people are surprised to hear that mediumship is learnable. And psychic abilities can be honed.

We all know people who seem to be born with certain talents. People who are natural athletes, musicians, artists, mathematicians, singers, etc. The thing is, all of those things are also learnable even if you are not naturally gifted at them. The same goes for mediums, some people are just naturally "tuned in" to energies, but if you are not you can learn. Kind of like a drug-sniffing dog, it's subtle and it takes practice and if someone gives you a treat (which would be validation) you can learn it too!
